1. About this policy
This policy explains how ProDealsSpot handles information in connection with prodealsspot.com. ProDealsSpot publishes product-discovery content, buying guides, and comparisons across tech, home and kitchen, and travel.
For questions about our handling of personal information, contact the ProDealsSpot website operator at info@prodealsspot.com. This policy covers our website and our handling of inquiries. It does not cover Amazon, Google, or other third-party websites and services under their own control.
2. Information we collect
Details you provide
When you use our contact form or email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your first and last name, email address, subject, message, and any details included in subsequent correspondence. Our contact form uses WPForms to process submissions and send notifications.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, identity documents, or sensitive personal information through the form. An inquiry is not a request to place an order with us.
Technical and usage information
Our hosting, security, consent, and analytics services may process an IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, referral information, interactions, and cookie or similar identifiers. These records support site operation, security, troubleshooting, and usage measurement.
Comments, where enabled
If you leave a comment on a post, WordPress collects the comment and the name, email address, and optional website you provide. It also processes technical details such as your IP address and browser information for moderation and spam prevention. Approved comments and the display name you submit can be public; your email address is not displayed as part of the comment.
If an avatar is supplied through Gravatar, an email-derived identifier may be sent to that service. See Automattic’s Privacy Notice. Avoid including private information in a public comment.
3. How we use information
- Respond to inquiries, corrections, topic suggestions, and business requests.
- Operate the website, remember cookie choices, and maintain security.
- Understand which pages and features visitors use and improve our content.
- Moderate comments and investigate spam, misuse, and technical problems.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and establish or defend legal rights.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, the basis depends on the activity. It may include your consent for relevant optional technologies, our legitimate interests in running and securing the website and answering inquiries, steps connected with a requested service, or a legal obligation. You may contact us for information about the basis relevant to your situation.
5. Google services
The website uses Google services connected through Site Kit, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, PageSpeed Insights, and Reader Revenue Manager. These services have different roles; a service connection does not mean every service sets a visitor cookie.
Google Analytics helps us understand visits and interactions using usage data and, depending on settings and consent, cookies or other identifiers. Google Tag Manager helps load and manage website tags; the individual tags determine what information is processed. Search Console provides search-performance and indexing information, while PageSpeed Insights helps assess website performance.
Google Reader Revenue Manager may provide reader-engagement features. Where a Google sign-in, reader prompt, or subscription feature is presented, review the information shown there before providing details.
Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on, where supported. It does not control all other services or technologies.
6. Affiliate links and retailer websites
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Some product links include an affiliate identifier. If you follow one and make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate partners and retailers may use cookies or similar technologies to attribute referrals, process orders, and provide their services. They may collect information directly when you interact with their websites or content. Amazon’s practices are described in its Privacy Notice.
We do not operate the checkout for products purchased through retailer links. The retailer handles your payment, shipping information, order fulfillment, returns, and its related customer records. Do not send retailer payment details to ProDealsSpot.
Some images and other resources are loaded from external providers, including Amazon image servers and Unsplash. Loading them can disclose technical request information, such as your IP address and browser details, to the provider. Embedded third-party content, where present, may also process information under its provider’s policy.
7. Sharing and overseas processing
Information may be processed by providers that help us host and secure the site, deliver email, process contact forms, maintain backups, manage consent, and measure usage. For example, a contact submission can pass through our form, hosting, and email infrastructure so we can receive and respond to it.
We may disclose relevant information when legally required, to investigate misuse, or to protect legal rights. Approved comments are shared publicly as described above. Third-party services may act under their own privacy policies for activities they control.
Providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Applicable protections can differ. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, those requirements apply. Contact us if you need information about a particular processing activity or provider.
8. Retention and security
Retention depends on the information and its purpose. Inquiry correspondence is kept while needed to handle the request and reasonable follow-up, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Technical logs, analytics records, consent records, and backups follow the relevant service settings and operational needs. Published comments may remain with the associated discussion unless removed.
We do not promise a single retention period for every record. You can ask about the information associated with your inquiry and request deletion where applicable. Backup copies may remain until the relevant backup cycle expires.
We use security measures intended to reduce unauthorized access, loss, and misuse. No website, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Your privacy requests
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to an appropriate data-protection authority. These rights can be subject to exceptions.
Email info@prodealsspot.com with your request and enough context for us to locate the relevant records. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before disclosing or changing personal information. Please do not send identity documents unless a secure and appropriate verification method has been agreed.
For information held by Amazon or another retailer about a purchase, contact that retailer directly. For cookie preferences on this website, use the Re-consent control described above.
10. Children
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, its services, or relevant requirements change. The date at the top shows the most recent update. Where required, we will provide an additional notice or request a new choice for a material change.
Let’s make things clear.
